Plant is a family of powder coated aluminium garden umbrellas that was designed by redefining the archetypal shape of the sunshade object to create a light, elegant and compact volume. Plant’s idea is to go beyond the classic concept of a roof to protect from the sun by proposing a new way of interpreting the outdoor space through a product that allows to repair and illuminate the surrounding space. Wing represents a series of flexible and mobile partitions characterized by a strong three-dimensionality and formal coherence. All FIM products are designed and manufactured in Italy using the best outdoor materials and guaranteeing a long life even in the most severe environmental conditions.
Powder coated aluminum structure in white (BIAN), silver (SILV) or graphite (GRAF). Pole Ø 5 cm. Pulley opening. Upper fabric: solution dyed acrylic. Lower fabric: white or printed polyester.
The materials used have been specially chosen and treated to keep the products unaltered over time. The structure is in stainless steel and the base is hot deep galvanized.
Designed for outdoor use, the solution (spun) dyed acrylic fabric resists salt water, chlorine and any type of harsh climate. Colours do not bleed and remain vibrant for a long time. A specific treatment makes the fabric water repellent, mould resistant and protects it from staining. This type of fabric resists the most extreme conditions and is suitable for year-round use in gardens, terraces, pool sides or on-board boats.
