GEWISS - DATA CENTER
GEWISS renews its offer for connectivity in the residential sector by proposing DATA CENTER, the complete range of switchboards, cabinets and solutions for copper and fibre cabling.
GEWISS has decided to renew its proposal for the connection and distribution of optical and copper networks with DATA CENTER. The range, which includes solutions that are compatible with all the indications dictated by the new CEI 306-2 Guide and by law 164/14, is suitable for every installation requirement and can be integrated into any application context.
A real beating heart of the new way of making connections.
BUILDING INF
RASTRUCTUREThe
multi-service building infrastructure of the DATA CENTER series consists of functional units that collect signals and services from outside and distribute them, via backbones made of fibre optics, to all building units. In detail, the individual components are:
- Optical riser terminal box (STOM). Head-end terminal that collects the optical signals of the services coming from the upper part of the building (TV, SAT, wireless operators) and conveys them to the building optical services drawer (CSOE).
- Cassetto Servizi Ottici Di Edificio (CSOE). The star centre of the optical building infrastructure. A box that, using the available accessories, can be set up to operate in two different configurations:
- CSOE Services. It collects the fibre cables coming from the STOM and other building services (TV, SAT, video cameras, video door entry) and routes the optical signals to the CSOE Distribution.
- CSOE Distribution. It receives the optical signals from the CSOE Services and the Building Optical Distribution (ROE) and redistributes them to each flat.
- Optical splitters. Devices used to split each optical input signal to multiple outputs (2, 4, 8 or 16).
- Multi-fibre riser cables. Single-mode optical fibres in bundles of 8 elements, equipped with the innovative Fiber Fast system for quick cabling of connectors and designed to be laid in even small ducts. They are used for the construction of building backbones
.
APARTMENT
INFRASTRUCTUREData
Centre allows the signals from the building's optical drawers to be connected to each housing unit at a precise access point, called QDSA (Apartment Signal Distribution Switchboard). From this switchboard, the signals are then routed to each individual device using the various technologies available: fibre optics, copper cables or wirelessly.
- Apartment Signal Distribution Switchboard (QDSA). Flush-mounted panel that collects and sorts the services and optical signals intended for the flat, housing the passive components (STOA, mixers, filters) and the active devices (modems, switches, signal amplifiers) of the home installation.
- Apartment Optical Termination Box (STOA). A terminal that collects the fibre optic signals from the CSOE and routes them into each individual home. The STOA is typically housed inside the QDSA.
- Fibre optic sockets for civil series. Flush-mounted sockets for civil series, made with SC/APC sockets, which allow household consumers to be connected directly to the optical fibre.
- Single-fibre patch cords. Single-mode fibre-optic braces used for the distribution of optical signals within the flat.
FIBER FAST
, THE REVOLUTIONARY
TOOLLESS
SYSTEMTo
connect fibre optic cables in just a few steps and without the use of tools, GEWISS offers the revolutionary Fiber Fast solution, a system that makes it extremely easy and safe to header individual fibres. In detail, the ends of the harnesses are composed of a pre-lapped ferrule, protected by a heat-shrinkable sheath, which can be completed, after laying in pipes, with the SC/APC connectors supplied.
