LANCILLOTTO
Round marble table with central base
Lancillotto is a round table with a central base and a marble top.
The table takes shape as a dialogue between stability and tension, between concave and convex. A marble top with a sculpted edge. A truncated conical column with a subtle entasis evokes solidity and permanence, recalling an archetypal imagery of classical architecture. A convex, reduced metal connecting element acts as a capital.
It is at the junction point that the design is concentrated: where one would expect greater mass, the material becomes thinner. It is not stone, but metal. Not mass, but resistance. What is structurally crucial also becomes what is formally lighter. A balance between gravity and abstraction.
