EIDOS represents the natural evolution of the design language developed for I 4 Mariani by Ferruccio Laviani, in continuity with the Euclideo and Cartesiano collections, both characterized by a clearly defined executive function and formal identity.‎ Conceived as a transversal product, capable of overcoming the distinction between workspace and living environments, EIDOS can be used as a desk, meeting table, or as a fully-fledged dining table.‎ Its geometries, clean and essential, clearly define the relationship between base and top.‎ This formal synthesis opens up to different aesthetic interpretations: from monomaterial versions, more rigorous and compact, to solutions that combine different materials and finishes, enhancing both character and versatility.‎ The worktop is made of particleboard panel veneered in wood or in melamine coated panel covered in saddle leather.‎ The top houses an ultra-thin 18.‎5-inch retractable, motorized LCD monitor (code OPTIONUFFEL31) and two electrical boxes (code OPTIONUFFEL33).‎ The top rests on a black melamine coated base; this base is then covered externally with an MDF structure lacquered in any leather color from the PS or PF collection or covered in saddle leather.‎ Two drawers and two doors for accessing the desk's technical compartment are integrated under the top.‎ A matte lacquered steel cover is attached under the top, available in any leather color from the PS or PF collection or covered in saddle leather.‎ Further info from manufacturer on EIDOS i 4 Mariani
