Pile is a hand-woven rug, the result of the interaction of four different weaving techniques. The two contrasting colors create a playful and subtle graphic result.
Flatweave rugs, commonly called mats, are worked using the loom operated by the craftsman who weaves a series of vertical threads (warp) of a given yarn with a series of horizontal threads (weft). This technique is characterized by the lack of "fleece" and backing. Expert manual skills are required for this traditional weaving method that allows you to produce flat rugs with detailed patterns.
