QUID
Handle in zamak without rose for doors
QUID is a zamak handle without rose for doors.
The new handle was born from the idea of shaping an everyday object that combines functionality, aesthetic rigor, and attention to invisible details.
The first element that stands out is the grip: perfectly flush with the door, it almost seems to disappear into the surface, like a subtle extension of the material. The end part is slightly inclined—an ergonomic detail designed to naturally accommodate the thumb, which assumes a distinctive curvature when opening the door. This feature significantly improves comfort, transforming a habitual action into a surprisingly smooth experience.
The final section of the grip is finished with an anti-slip texture: a fine sequence of parallel engravings that not only ensure a secure hold but also create a refined visual effect. Depending on how the light strikes it, this detailing may vanish or reflect, bringing movement and depth to an otherwise minimalist surface.
Inside, the handle is equipped with a return spring mechanism, allowing it to automatically return to its initial position once released. This system, typical of high-end handles, not only enhances the user experience but also helps preserve mechanical integrity over time, reducing wear and noise.
What makes Quid even more essential is the absence of the rosette. A choice that is not only aesthetic but also conceptual. Eliminating the rosette allows for visual continuity between door and handle, enhancing the value of the materials, volumes, and play of light.
