Chair with solid wood frame (European beech or oak) and shaped plywood elements from the JAZZ series.‎ This chair is available in two versions: with or without armrests.‎ Also available with a round cushion covered in fabric.‎ Material and finish Solid European beech or oak frame ⁃ natural, clear lacquered ⁃ solid lacquered Moulded plywood elements with beech core layers, beech or oak front veneer ⁃ natural, clear lacquered ⁃ lacquered in solid colours Components ⁃ high-tech plastic gliders, wool felt JAZZ is an off-beat take on the typology of the dining chair.‎ A concentric construction principle sets the stage for a play between formality and freedom.‎ Each of the chair legs takes its own stance depending on position and function – straight up to hold a backrest or breaking out angled as a front leg.‎ And while the plywood backrest follows a soft curvature, the solid wood cross beams at the center seem almost overly strong proportioned.‎ An ample seat encourages many sitting positions and provides generous elbowroom.‎ The most intriguing characteristic though is the formal difference between the two available models.‎ The standard model has a common leg position, the model with armrests however uses an identical, yet 45-degree-rotated frame.‎ That points one of its legs to the front, giving the JAZZ armchair its iconic silhouette.‎ JAZZ is handcrafted in partnership with a cabinet maker in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania.‎ The molded plywood parts are acquired from a supplier in Lower Saxony.‎ Our production partner works according to the statutory minimum wages and social security applicable in Germany.‎ Local production, the short delivery distance of not more than 150km, the use of non-industrial production methods and environmentally friendly surface treatments result in an excellent environmental balance.‎ Material and Surfaces Frame solid European beech or oak ⁃ natural, clear varnished ⁃ unicolour lacquered Moulded plywood elements core layers beech, face veneers beech or oak ⁃ natural, clear varnished ⁃ unicolour lacquered Small parts ⁃ gliders high-tech plastic, wool felt
