Malvin
BERICI Lime is a natural hydraulic lime produced exclusively by firing a calcareous marl in traditional layered kilns at temperatures below 1200° C. Subsequently, after quenching, the lime is 'seasoned' for an extended period of time to ensure complete hydration and is finally ground and refined with wind separators. Diffractometric analysis reveals the presence of bicalcium silicate and calcium hydroxide (free lime) typical of natural hydraulic lime. The absence of the typical compounds of clinker in the high content of free lime determines a slow and gradual expenditure with a continuous increase in mechanical strength over the months following laying. It is produced in the two classes of mechanical resistance (expressed in N/mm2 after 28 days of curing) defined by UNI EN 459-1:2010, namely NHL 3.5 and NHL 5.
