Nobonobo HAIKU I NATURAL STRAW Ash wood and straw chair

HAIKU I natural straw is the model draws on tradition and craftsmanship.‎ The hand-woven seat and backrest made of natural straw – available in two colours: natural and black – are set on an ash structure with several colour options.‎ This is an authentic, light and expressive proposition.‎ The Haiku collection is a project inspired by the Japanese art of creating short poetic forms – haiku – which in a few lines can capture the fleetingness of a moment, emotion and the rhythm of nature.‎ Like poetry, this line of furniture was designed with simplicity, balance and focus on what is most important in mind.‎ The ideological context for this collection is also the classic haiku by Mizuta Masahide, a poet from the Edo period: „Barn’s burnt down.‎ Now I can see the moon” Mizuta Masahide (1657–1723) This simple, yet profound poem becomes a metaphor for looking deep within oneself, for seeing beauty despite losses – an idea that is also close to the assumptions of this collection.‎ CarlesiTonelli designers, drawing on the idea of pure, balanced forms, created a collection that does not flaunt its form, but subtly affects the senses and emotions.‎ This is a proposal for spaces that are to inspire reflection and communion with objects designed with duration, harmony and tranquility in mind.‎   Further info from manufacturer on HAIKU I NATURAL STRAW Nobonobo
