Oltremateria A MARE Flooring

A mare by Oltremateria® is the first ever low-thickness floor resin surface, composed of products coming from renewable sources, which purifies the air 24 hours a day, and helps mitigate bacterial and viral proliferation.‎ It is made up of innovative, latest-generation polymers from renewable sources of vegetable origin and over 60% marine shells, from certified Italian recycling sources.‎ Oltremateria® has always been careful to offer high-performance surfaces that have as little impact on the environment as possible.‎ Oltremateria® surfaces are fully certified and allow the possibility of obtaining certified LEED green building credits and complying with the strictest standards on low volatile organic compound (VOC) emissions, with regard to both the French A+ standard and the Japanese 4 **** (four-star) standard.‎ Free of formaldehyde and added solvents, they are totally non-toxic and do not release any harmful or dangerous substances.‎ With A Mare, Oltremateria® wanted to offer an innovative, continuous surface, with high resistance and a surprising materiality, in just 3-4 mm of thickness.‎ Surfaces made with A Mare amaze both touch and sight with soft, indefinite colours, and warm, neutral features, for the creation of spaces that flow easily into each other.‎ In November, the Archiproducts Design Award gave A Mare by Oltremateria® first prize in its Finishes category.‎ It was also awarded the “2022 Sustainability Award”, thanks to its raw materials being derived from renewable sources and certified recycled materials, in the case of sea shells.‎ In December, the industrial design association ADI selected and awarded A Mare the ADI Design Index Innovation Award 2022.‎ The innovative characteristic of A Mare is the combination, in a floor surface just 3 mm thickness, of environmentally friendly materials from renewable sources, recycled marine shells and ECOPUR®, the eco-resin capable of purifying air 24 hours a day, and thus of helping to mitigate the proliferation of bacteria and viruses.‎ Further info from manufacturer on A MARE Oltremateria
