Sika Design ISABEL Rattan and tFibre® chair with armrests

Isabell dining chair is a charming wicker chair in Danish design.‎ The chair is part of Sika-Design's Affäire collection which represents a unique selection of charming bistro and café furniture, inspired by Sika-Design's own designs from the 1950s and the charming café chairs that are seen everywhere in Paris.‎ The chair is handmade in sustainable Indonesian rattan by skilled wicker makers.‎ We weave the Affäire furniture with the fantastic ArtFibre which is available in a larger selection of colors that can be put together in countless combinations.‎ ArtFibers are artificial fibers made from maintenance-free polyethylene that can withstand the sun's UV radiation.‎ The combination of rattan and ArtFibre gives the wicker furniture a unique strength, flexibility and comfort.‎ Sika-Design uses carefully selected rattan for furniture production to ensure the highest quality.‎ Rattan is often compared to bamboo, but unlike bamboo which is hollow, rattan is a solid material.‎ Rattan is a remarkably strong and indestructible material, and therefore a unique piece of furniture is available that lasts for generations.‎ The Isabell chair has armrests, which provides extra support and comfort.‎ The chair is designed for brasseries, cafés and restaurants, but it is also suitable for the ordinary home.‎ The chair is made for indoor use but can be used outdoors in covering areas and should not be exposed to rain and moisture.‎ The Isabell armchair is stackable, and is also available without armrests.‎ This furniture is handcrafted in rattan and ArtFibre®.‎ Rattan is often confused with bamboo, but unlike hollow bamboo, rattan is solid and can be bent into all sorts of shapes.‎ The fact that rattan is solid makes rattan furniture very durable and able to last for generations.‎ Read more about rattan here.‎ ArtFibre®is a unique fibre made of dyed hard-wearing polyethylene which is temperature and UV-resistant.‎ It has a strong structure and can maintain its shape for years on end.‎ ArtFibre® is very flexible and when woven it provides optimal comfort.‎ Due to the rattan frame, the furniture needs to be kept dry, and can only be used outdoor in covered areas.‎ Rattan and Sika-Design ArtFibre® require no maintenance but can be wiped with a lightly dampened cloth.‎ Further info from manufacturer on ISABEL Sika Design
