FRAGMENT #03
LED Glass and Stainless Steel floor lamp
Numerous lofty, white spires converge together. Against the backdrop of the night sky and accentuated by floodlights, countless straight beams of light converge. The intricate decorations resemble stars in the sky, possessing a charm that minimalism is failed to give out.
My hands and body tremble with excitement, even as an atheist, I feel deeply awed by this. Faith, spirituality expands the boundaries of creation, reaching the pinnacle of imagination. This is how I felt when I first saw the Milan Cathedral, a collision of cultures. Therefore, I decided to encapsulate this feeling in my work.
The main body of the floor lamp is made of stainless steel and smaller teture glass. This subtle mechanism can distort the direction of light, enhancing the sense of extension of light. The light is trapped in the glass, when observed from different heights and angles, the light distributes and interacts inside, resembling a curtain of stars, a comet's tail, or even a tiny universe in a spire, which s teemed with imagination.
