SOLAVA - Глиняная изогнутая черепица / черепица
SOLAVA flat tiles and pantiles, produced by drawing, have perfect orthometry and flatness and guaranteehigh mechanical and bending strength.
The range is divided into 6 finishes, ranging from the warm natural red colour of the Chianti line to the elegance of the light Galestro line, from the charm of the handmade article marked by time of the Riserva pieces to the pleasant contrasts and harmonious combinations of the Vernaccia elements. Furthermore, in the continuous quest to satisfy the most diverse market tastes, SOLAVA has added the "Malvasia" aged colour, with its yellow colour typical of the Latium lands, cradle of the Roman coverings, and the new "Sangiovese" aged colour, where the ageing tending to green recalls the mosses formed over time on old country cottages.
The Aged Lines, ideal for renovations and restorations, are the result of an advanced technology that doses the shades and colours according to a "zone colorimetry", maintaining unchanged over time, like the other two classic finishes, values such as: high strength, total impermeability and absolute frost resistance..
SOLAVA ROOFING TILES AND COPPER TILES - THE TUSCAN VENTILATED ROOF
The Roman roofing tiles and roofing tiles produced by the Solava brickworks maintain the tradition of roofing coverings already in use in Roman times and widely quoted by Vitruvius in his treatise De Architectura in the 1st century BC.
The roofing mantle made with Roman tiles, although it has a heavier own weight (60-64 kg/sqm) than other types of roofing, it offers several advantages
it allows fast and efficient water drainage even in conditions of relatively shallow slopes
it does not retain elements foreign to the structure of the roof covering (various dirt, leaves, etc.)
offers excellent stability characteristics of the elements resting on it
creates a resistant layer that is superior to other types of roofing, given the wide support base and the perfect flatness of the tiles, which also make it practicable for inspection or maintenance operations
TECHNICAL-PRESTRACTIVE FEATURES
The table shows the technical specifications of high-performance roofing elements according to UNI EN 1304 (Specification for Discontinuous Roofing).
ADVANTAGES
High robustness
Total impermeability
Absolute frost resistance
High mechanical resistance
High flexural strength
SPECIAL PIECES - LAYING
For laying, we must remember that 8 tiles and 8 pantiles are required per square metre. For the eaves line, 3 eaves pieces are calculated, and for the ridge line 3 ridge elements (drawn or interlocking).
To improve water tightness, in order to create temperature and humidity conditions that are as uniform as possible between the extrados and intrados of the roof covering, it is advisable to usespecial aerator pieces.
Thanks to their use, the micro-ventilation of the underlay is facilitated. It is advisable to arrange the aerators in horizontal rows. On regular-shaped pitches, two rows are normally sufficient: one on the third row from the eaves line and one on the penultimate row before the ridge line. This arrangement, given the differences in pressure and humidity between the lower and upper part of the pitch, helps the convective movement of air, ensuring its circulation in the underlay. Normally, for each row, the number of ventilators can vary from 1 in every 5 to 1 in every 7 normal tiles, depending on the characteristics of the roof and the conditions of the context.
