TACTO
Upholstered fabric kitchen stool
TACTO Counter Stool is a continuation of the TACTO family, known for its soft sculptural balance and emotional tactility. The collection explores forms of closeness and connection — volumes that seem to approach one another and stop just before merging, as if the structure is held together by intention rather than hardware. The name comes from the Latin tactus — “touch” — a reference to sensitive interaction and human presence.
In the counter-height version, TACTO maintains its iconic composition while adapting to a more elevated setting. The silhouette is shaped by a rounded backrest that flows seamlessly into the rear legs, supporting a monolithic upholstered seat. The increased height emphasises the structural logic of the design, while elongated legs in a textile finish create a sense of gentle equilibrium. A stainless-steel footrest functions as both a support element and a visual accent that completes the piece.
TACTO Counter Stool is designed for environments where interaction happens at kitchen-island height — residential kitchens, contemporary hospitality spaces and hybrid interior concepts that blend home and social experience.
Seat height: 650 mm.
TACTO is a visual metaphor for touch — a sculptural language rooted in closeness, balance and intention. The character of the collection emerges from the subtle interplay of its elements, creating compositions that seem to pause in the moment. Surfaces approach one another without fully merging, as if the structures are held together not by hardware, but by mutual agreement. The name Tacto refers to the Latin tactus — “touch, sensation, delicacy,” reflecting the core idea: connection expressed through form.
Across the collection, TACTO explores the meeting point between architectural solidity and emotional softness. Rounded backrests flow into vertical supports, monolithic seats rest in gentle equilibrium, and textile volumes are shaped with careful tension rather than rigid construction. Each piece preserves a universal tactile quality — furniture that is not only seen, but felt.
The TACTO family is available in three versions to suit diverse environments and spatial heights:
TACTO Chair — dining version
TACTO Counter Stool — counter-height version
TACTO Bar Stool — bar-height version.
