Vaselli TERRA Floor-standing wooden vanity unit

With the TERRA line of custom-made bathroom furniture, Vaselli wanted to capitalize on the experience gained in recent years with other natural materials that are often used alongside stone: wood and iron.‎ It is clear that solid wood and natural iron, cut and bent, are the protagonists of these bathroom furniture pieces which, in various possible combinations, can support stone countertop washbasins, double or single and of various sizes, from any Vaselli collection or made to custom designs.‎ Among the compositions that the TERRA cabinet makes possible, the one complete with wooden exterior and metal storage cabinet highlights the countertop made from solid wood beams - in this case oak - and fixed using a special system of joints and tie rods, keeping the material as raw as possible, making knots and breaks decorative elements and thus enhancing its naturalness.‎ This system allows us to stabilize the structure without using glue, acting on the solid wood to accommodate the movements of an unstable material such as wood and thus avoiding the inconveniences that would arise from trying to block the material.‎ The mechanism that regulates the tie rods is located in accessible compartments hidden by small wooden covers, so that the tension exerted can always be adjusted.‎ The method illustrated gives us the possibility to work on various types of wood and solid wood thicknesses, guaranteeing you total freedom of choice.‎ TERRA adapts easily, allowing you to have a supporting balcony or a more minimalist suspended solid wood top, which is also ideal for floating above the iron cabinet.‎ Iron is certainly not the most common element in bathroom furniture, but if you want to make it the centerpiece of your modern bathroom, you can opt for the natural iron sheet solution, laser-cut and folded, minimizing welding and allowing you to enjoy the iron in all its materiality, with its natural oxidation.‎ The iron cabinet from the TERRA bathroom line is also ideal for pairing with Vaselli stone washbasins.‎ With TERRA, Vaselli wanted to propose an idea of bathroom furniture where priority is given to preserving the original appearance of natural materials, creating a new country style with a minimalist approach.‎ Raw wood and natural iron sheet metal are used to contrast their strong materiality with clean, simple lines, thus enhancing the authenticity of what nature provides and, as such, making each piece of furniture unique.‎ Further info from manufacturer on TERRA Vaselli
