Visionnaire HAMPSHIRE Cantilever leather armchair with armrests

Hampshire is an armchair upholstered in leather or fabric with a curved structure in multilayer poplar.‎ The seat, supported by elastic webbing, combines polyurethane and Memory Foam® padding for enhanced comfort.‎ Backrest and armrests form a continuous, enveloping volume, while the sculpted multilayer birch base in high-gloss polyester finish adds a refined and dynamic presence.‎ The Hampshire armchair is a cantilever structure transformed into seating.‎ A resolved architectural gesture defined by two essential elements: the load-bearing wooden frame and the upholstered volume that rests upon it with natural composure.‎ The frame, rational in its layout and decisive in its proportions, is conceived with wide flat sections and torus-rounded edges.‎ It challenges the conventions of traditional wooden frameworks, displaying manufacturing excellence in its strength, finishes, and overall integrity.‎ The structure does not conceal itself — it declares itself.‎ In contrast, the upholstery introduces a more relaxed attitude.‎ It settles over the visible skeleton with controlled softness, like a fabric laid with measured nonchalance, establishing a dialogue between rigor and comfort.‎ The tailoring refines the encounter between firmness and welcome, achieving a calibrated balance.‎ Gloss lacquer finishes recall a 1970s sensibility, introducing a bold material and chromatic counterpoint to the natural composure of the upholstery.‎ The result is a controlled tension between structure and surface, between constructive precision and formal spontaneity.‎ Hampshire armchair celebrates the beauty of necessary things.‎ It enhances the tactile presence of natural materials through authentic forms, rooted in memory yet projected into the present.‎ Function and aesthetics converge in a timeless equilibrium.‎ Further info from manufacturer on HAMPSHIRE Visionnaire
