SCHWOB
Square marble or travertine coffee table
Designed in 1959 by Angelo Mangiarotti and Bruno Morassutti for their renovation of Villa Schwob — Le Corbusier's last work in his native La Chaux-de-Fonds — the table was produced in a handful of pieces for that specific space and never entered production.
The commission placed the two architects in dialogue with one of the defining buildings of early twentieth-century architecture, and the table carries that context: a precisely machined aluminium cross with expressed mechanical joints supports a marble top that rests in place through its own weight. Two lateral handles, integrated within the same structural logic, transform the act of moving the table into a coherent formal gesture and an iconic detail. Agapecasa brings the Schwob Table into production as a faithful re-edition.
Available in three dimensions and across the Agape marble range, with Travertino among the new additions.
