Askia TRIBUT Wooden stool with footrest

Tribut Stool is a reinterpretation of the Romanian iconic shepherd’s chair, developed around a campaign to promote the 5th edition of Romanian Design Week.‎ The intervention on the original object was just at a structural and functional level, with the purpose of adapting an iconic object to contemporary needs: a bar stool that can be associated with the urban environment, with socializing and interaction.‎ The three legs and the seat are pre-cut and then shaped on a wood lathe.‎ The legs are then attached to the seat in an invisible way, through hidden metal pieces placed at the bottom of the seat and on the top of the legs.‎ The stool incorporates a metal triangle which holds the legs, and can also be used as a footrest.‎
