A must in contemporary architecture, expanded metal offers the designer endless technical and aesthetic solutions, a combination of functionality and design to meet the most sophisticated design requirements.‎ Panelling made of expanded metal allows any type of environment to be characterised, enriching it with new forms, according to need: to clad a building internally or externally, to play with light, to give a touch of lightness and sophistication through innovative, practical and design solutions.‎ Thanks to the versatility of this material, which allows the natural passage of light, air and sound, expanded metal is used as screening, ventilation and aesthetic decoration.‎ This solution allows for the creation of plays of transparency, masking without hiding the building.‎ ATENA produces expanded metal coverings with meshes and thicknesses according to the characteristics of the project, the frame to be fixed directly to the concrete or to the load-bearing steelwork involves the use of special anti-cutting profiles, elements with a minimal design that separate the modules without framing them.‎ Installation of the modules to the rear structure using mechanical fixings suitable for seismic and windy areas.‎ Panel dimensions and materials: Bespoke aluminium panels, meshes to be chosen from an infinite range of solutions, thicknesses from 12/10 to 20/10 depending on the project characteristics.‎ Structure: 20/10 aluminium or post-painted steel back-structure in the same colour as the expanded metal sheet with special anti-cutting profiles.‎ Finishing elements Closure mouldings, drip mouldings and flashings in the same material and finish as the panels.‎
