Billiani CORTINA Beech easy chair with armrests

Cortina is an upholstered lounge chair with a beech wood frame.‎ A natural extension of the Cortina collection, it reinforces its welcoming character and its connection to Alpine tradition.‎ The lounge chair takes up the distinctive elements of the small armchair: the solid beech wood armrest fixed to the seat and the enveloping backrest, developing them in larger proportions and with greater comfort.‎ The dialogue between wood and fabric highlights the balance between solidity and lightness, while the armrest’s structural detail expresses the craftsmanship and know-how of Billiani.‎ The result is a warm, contemporary seating piece designed for relaxation.‎ Cortina is a collection that pays tribute to traditional Alpine heritage, reinterpreted through a contemporary lens.‎ For this collection, Fabrizio Gallinaro began with the idea of combining the base of a classic Alpine chair with the curved shell typical of modern, Scandinavian-inspired armchairs.‎ The result is a collection with a Nordic aesthetic, named after the iconic Italian mountain town that stands at the crossroads of myth and legend, nature and culture, tradition and glamour.‎ The chair features a curved, enveloping backrest, while the armchair is distinguished by wooden armrests attached to the seat, with a fabric-upholstered backrest set into them— a handcrafted construction detail that showcases Billiani’s skill in fine woodworking.‎
