Billiani CORTINA Upholstered beech chair

Cortina is a padded chair with a solid beech wood frame.‎ Cortina is a collection that pays tribute to traditional Alpine heritage, reinterpreted through a contemporary lens.‎ For this collection, Fabrizio Gallinaro began with the idea of combining the base of a classic Alpine chair with the curved shell typical of modern, Scandinavian-inspired armchairs.‎ The result is a collection with a Nordic aesthetic, named after the iconic Italian mountain town that stands at the crossroads of myth and legend, nature and culture, tradition and glamour.‎ The chair features a curved, enveloping backrest, while the armchair is distinguished by wooden armrests attached to the seat, with a fabric-upholstered backrest set into them— a handcrafted construction detail that showcases Billiani’s skill in fine woodworking.‎ Further info from manufacturer on CORTINA Billiani
