ERGON® Living on double doors THE SWING AND SLIDE SYSTEM HALVES THE DOOR SPACE REQUIREMENTS ERGON® Living is a swing-and-slide hardware system that has revolutionised door closure systems, expanding construction possibilities of door manufacturers and designers, and interior design solutions for architects and surveyors.‎ Thanks to the swing and slide system, doors fitted with ERGON® Living occupy 50% less space when opened and closed, for a significant space gain.‎ The simultaneous swinging and sliding movement of the door occupies half the space of a standard single or double hinged door and does not call for any building work or additional costs, such as with pocket sliding doors.‎ The problem of obstruction between adjacent doors, even in tight spaces, is eliminated whilst the potential for the living and furnishing spaces is increased.‎ ERGON® Living is especially suited to public spaces tied to issues of emergency exits and wheelchair access.‎ To fit doors with the ERGON® Living system, three different types of hardware kits are available: ERGON® Living S40, ERGON® Living T.‎E.‎ and ERGON® Living T.‎E.‎ Slim.‎ Patented and tested for 100,000 opening and closing cycles, the systems can be applied to different types of doors (made of hollow-core and solid wood, metal, plastic, with glass inserts, etc.‎), with different clearance widths from 44 cm to 130 cm, heights up to 3 metres and weighing up to 70 kg.‎ With ERGON® Living, you can also create double facing swing and slide doors opening in opposite directions or bi-fold doors opening in the same direction, taking advantage of the swing and slide opening system on very wide clearances.‎ On double doors fitted with the ERGON® Living system, it is also possible to install the Push & Go EVO magnetic opening system.‎ Winner of the “Archiproducts Design Awards” (2017 edition, Components and Materials category), awarded for the quality, ease-of-use and technical functionalities, with Push & Go EVO the inner door is unblocked by simply pushing a button and closed by moving the door back into position.‎ The ERGON® Living and Push & Go EVO systems are products by Celegon S.‎r.‎l, a leading Italian company in the development, industrialisation and manufacture of special hardware for doors and furniture.‎ The ERGON® Living system is a roto-translating door-opening mechanism that reduces threshold clutter by 50%, increasing living space without the need for masonry work.‎ Thanks to the simultaneous movement of rotation and translation, the space occupied by the door is halved compared to traditional systems, eliminating the problem of conflicting thresholds and increasing the possibilities for using space and furnishing.‎ Its revolutionary technology solves the problems of space management and passage between different interior rooms, thanks to a simple push opening in both directions, as practical and easy as any other swing door.‎ The ERGON® Living system's two-way push-open system is suitable for both private and public premises, responding to the needs of wheelchair users and people with disabilities.‎ ERGON® Living roto-translation technology is a viable alternative for premises that are already structured and in use, as it does not require masonry work or additional costs compared with traditional opening systems.‎ The hardware kit supplied is suitable for doors with different structural characteristics, both large and small, made from any type of material: wood (honeycomb and solid structure), metal, plastic and with glass inserts.‎ The ERGON® Living S40 system is characterised by the vertical rotation rod inserted in a hollow leaf with a minimum thickness of 40 mm.‎ There are two different technical manuals for this system, for building the jamb with a raised jamb or for using a flat jamb.‎ In the ERGON® Living T.‎E.‎ system, the vertical rotation rod is inserted in the jamb and the leaf can be hollow, solid or glazed, with a minimum thickness of 35 mm.‎ This system is also available in the following versions: ERGON® living T.‎E.‎ for jambs with stiles and ERGON® living T.‎E.‎ Slim for floor jambs.‎ All versions of ERGON® Living fittings can be fitted with the Soft Opening damper and are available with small and large base arms in black and silver anodised finishes.‎ Further info from manufacturer on ERGON® LIVING on double doors CELEGON
