NOxOFF™ ASFALTO is a nanostructured photocatalytic titanium dioxide (TiO₂) based active liquid with air-purifying properties, ideal for asphalt after-treatment.‎ An environmentally friendly water-based product, whose active ingredient, activated by sunlight and/or UV light, degrades nitrogen oxides (NOx), sulphur oxides (SOx) and volatile organic compounds (VOCs) into nitrates, which are then naturally washed away by rain.‎ Intended for application on asphalt surfaces, it is particularly suitable for urban areas with high population density and heavy traffic.‎ NOxOFF™ ASFALTO is completely invisible and does not alter the aesthetic appearance of the substrate.‎ The photocatalytic effect is permanent and not subject to exhaustion due to consumption of the active ingredient.‎ NOxOFF™ ASFALTO is one of the most studied and applied technologies for "active" building materials against urban pollution.‎ Application: NOxOFF™ ASFALTO is intended for asphalt surfaces for outdoor use.‎ The product is activated by exposure to sunlight and/or UV light.‎ The greater the irradiation and the larger the surface area treated, the greater the overall air purification effect.‎ The application can take place on roads, pavements and car parks with at least 6 months of curing time, or on worn asphalt surfaces where inorganic particles are visible.‎ Surfaces must be solid, dry and clean.‎ NOxOFF™ ASFALTO is ready for use.‎ Check the asphalt area for possible repair needs.‎ Sweep up by removing dirt, grass and dust.‎ If necessary, apply a suitable cleaning agent, clean with suitable equipment and allow to dry.‎ Carry out a test application on a small area to check for any undesirable reactions.‎ Then apply NOxOFF™ ASFALTO by spray, roller or impregnation.‎ Surface drying: approx.‎ 1-3 hours; complete drying/full activation: 12-24 hours.‎ Equipment can simply be cleaned with water immediately after use.‎ NOxOFF™ is an innovative photocatalytic treatment for concrete or asphalt surfaces, designed to actively reduce air pollutants.‎ Thanks to TiO₂-based technology, the system contributes to the degradation of NOx, SOx, and volatile organic compounds, improving air quality and providing surfaces with permanent self-cleaning properties.‎ A sustainable, high-performance solution for road infrastructure and urban areas.‎ The use of the system can contribute to the achievement of LEED credits and support interventions compliant with the Minimum Environmental Criteria (CAM), being consistent with the required sustainability and innovation objectives.‎ Further info from manufacturer on NOxOFF™ ASFALTO COPLAN
