COPLAN - NOxOFF™ WET

NOxOFF™ WET is an active liquid product based on nanostructured photocatalytic titanium dioxide (TiO₂) with air-purifying properties.‎ The active ingredient, activated by sunlight and/or UV light, degrades nitrogen oxides (NOx), sulphur oxides (SOx) and volatile organic compounds (VOCs) into nitrates, which are then naturally washed away by rain.‎ Intended for application on concrete surfaces during the production process, NOxOFF™ WET is completely invisible, does not alter the aesthetic appearance of the substrate and reduces efflorescence.‎ It is applied by spraying onto the concrete surface immediately after casting or stripping, when the mix is still wet and not completely hardened.‎ The photocatalytic effect is permanent and not subject to exhaustion due to consumption of the active ingredient.‎ NOxOFF™ WET is one of the most studied and applied technologies for "active" building materials against urban pollution.‎ Application: NOxOFF™ WET is intended for concrete products for outdoor use and is particularly suitable in urban contexts characterised by high population density and intense vehicular traffic.‎ The product is activated by exposure to sunlight and/or UV light.‎ The greater the irradiation and the larger the treated surface area, the greater the overall air purification effect.‎ Application must take place immediately after casting or stripping, before the concrete has fully cured.‎ NOxOFF™ WET is ready-to-use for spray application on fresh concrete.‎ Application with hydraulic spray nozzles with droplet size ≤ 200 μm.‎ Minimum application temperature: +5 °C.‎ Under standard conditions (20 °C - 65% R.‎H.‎) the approximate surface drying time is 1-3 hours.‎ At high humidity or temperatures close to the minimum limit, drying may require longer times or the use of forced drying systems.‎ Equipment can simply be cleaned with water immediately after use.‎ NOxOFF™ is an innovative photocatalytic treatment for concrete or asphalt surfaces, designed to actively reduce air pollutants.‎ Thanks to TiO₂-based technology, the system contributes to the degradation of NOx, SOx, and volatile organic compounds, improving air quality and providing surfaces with permanent self-cleaning properties.‎ A sustainable, high-performance solution for road infrastructure and urban areas.‎ The use of the system can contribute to the achievement of LEED credits and support interventions compliant with the Minimum Environmental Criteria (CAM), being consistent with the required sustainability and innovation objectives.‎ Further info from manufacturer on NOxOFF™ WET COPLAN
