DERBIBOND NT®

DERBIBOND NT® is an environmentally friendly cold bonding bitumen adhesive, without risk to transport or use.‎ DERBIBOND NT® is a cold bonding adhesive without Volatile Organic Compounds (VOC).‎ It is suitable for bonding top layers and bituminous waterproofing underlayments.‎ DERBIBOND NT forms an additional waterproof layer between the substrate and the waterproofing membrane.‎ Advantages DERBIBOND NT® is a cold adhesive without Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs) Transport is not dangerous, DERBIBOND NT is not subject to ADR or IMDG regulations Environmentally friendly: available in 1100 kg IBC cubitainer Total adhesion and perfect The application of DERBIBOND NT® forms an additional waterproof layer More safety through the use of cold adhesive, no hot bitumen or burner is used Ready-to-use product Effective and quick Compatible with almost all existing substrates and insulating materials Allows irregularities in the substrate to be evened out Allows adjustments to be made during application Maintains the membrane's characteristics unlike hot application Remains elastic and reduces thermal shock Also accommodates small settling movements of the building or waterproof membrane Technique proven over 70 years; experience of more than 100 million m2 Can be applied on a slightly damp substrate (dry to the touch) Extended open time (± 6h) Laying Surface preparation - Carefully brush the surface to remove all residues and other incompatible materials.‎ - In the case of resurfacing, score the swellings with a cross cut, flatten and bond with DERBIMASTIC S.‎ Severe cracks and tears must also be sealed with DERBIMASTIC S and, if necessary, reinforced with glass tissue.‎ - Check that the substrate is clean and dry and carry out the necessary preparation work.‎ Application of DERBIBOND NT® using the "unrolling" method - Unroll and align the membrane, maintaining a 10 cm overlap, which will remain unglued.‎ Re-roll the membrane halfway.‎ Spread DERBIBOND NT® on the clean and dry substrate with a waterproofing razor blade.‎ Re-roll the membrane onto the glue and repeat the operation on the other half.‎ - Check that the membrane has sufficient adhesion time depending on the temperature.‎ Application of DERBIBOND NT® using the "direct application" technique - If DERBIBOND NT® is applied with the Spraygun, unroll the membrane directly onto the glue, maintaining a 10 cm overlap, which will remain unglued.‎ Direct application is the most suitable technique if DERBIBOND NT® has been applied with Spraygun.‎ - In case of temperatures below 10°C, prefer the unrolling method.‎ Sealing the membrane overlaps - Overlaps are carefully torch welded for a total width of 10 cm, then pressed on with a ± 15 kg roller.‎ The transverse overlaps will be 15 cm.‎ A small amount of compound must escape from the overlap.‎ Caution: overlaps and embankments cannot be welded with cold glue.‎ - For overlaps not applied with a torch, consult DERBISEAL S documentation (12 cm transverse overlaps), or use hot air (10 cm).‎ - Work must be suspended in case of rain.‎
