DERBICONNECT

Extremely versatile thanks to the different sizes available and the high adaptability of the heat-shrinkable sleeves, the new DERBICONNECT system is the ideal solution for waterproofing the outlets, the critical point of any continuous roofing.‎ 100% compatible with all Derbigum roofs, thanks to the presence of a metal plate that is mechanically fixed to the roof deck, known as a flange, and the DERBICONNECT membrane handkerchief intended for hot welding (flame or hot air), DERBICONNECT features a stainless steel sleeve and a thermo-retractable sleeve that provides an optimal UV-resistant seal guaranteed over time.‎ DERBICONNECT is the result of Derbigum's ongoing research into accessory solutions for the perfect waterproofing of elements that are usually critical on a continuous flat roof, such as the outlets.‎ This solution is finding widespread use on roofs that house photovoltaic systems that involve the anchoring of structures that may jeopardise the waterproofing of the covering due to the perforation of the same.‎ The bar, pipe or cable to be sealed is inserted into the sleeve, the metal flange at the bottom of the sleeve is mechanically fixed at all four corners, the Derbigum membrane is heated to complete adhesion to the membrane, and then grouted with the tip of a hot trowel to seal the edges.‎ In the second step, the heat-shrinkable sleeve is heated, and on contact with heat it shrinks around the exiting body, adhering perfectly.‎ The sealing is perfect, even in the case of threaded bars.‎ This is followed by the aesthetic finishing operations, which consist of preparing a handkerchief of membrane in which a hole is drilled in the centre so that it can be inserted into the bar, heated and grouted to complete adhesion.‎ Derbigum has always been committed to the development of durable, safe, and environmentally friendly waterproof membranes, as well as finishing and detailing accessories that guarantee excellent results.‎
