DS - Smoke evacuation window for flat roofs
Designed to allow efficient smoke evacuation in the event of a fire - an extremely important feature since it is precisely smoke poisoning that is the greatest danger in such situations, even more so than excessively high temperatures - this window facilitates the evacuation of people inside the building and facilitates the intervention of the fire brigade. in such situations, even more so than excessively high temperatures - this window facilitates the evacuation of people inside the building and makes it easier for the fire brigade to intervene.
Also an ideal solution for flooding the attic spaces with light and ensuring adequate ventilation, the DS window has a frame made of multi-chambered PVC profiles filled with thermal insulation material; it also has a sash that, thanks to opening mechanisms with two or four invisible 24 V actuators when the window is closed, can raise 23 cm to ensure good daily ventilation, or 50 cm in the event of a fire.
THE new Fakro window is available in two different versions.
Firstly, there is the DSF model with coplanar glass, suitable for roofs with pitches from 2 to 15 degrees and characterised by a contemporary and essential design. Thanks to the innovative DU6 double glazing unit (Ug = 0.5 W/m2K), the DSC flat roof window has a thermal transmittance coefficient of 0.79 W/m2K (figure for size 120x120, according to EN 14351-1).
Fakro also offers the DSC version, designed for roofs with an inclination of 0 to 15 degrees. This model is equipped with a polycarbonate dome that can be transparent (DSC-C) or opaque (DSC-M) and has an insulating glass unit of class P2A with Ug = 1.1 W/m²K.
