Felis TAIPEI Double bed with upholstered headboard

Taipei is a double bed in fabric and canaletto walnut with upholstered headboard.‎ There has been a long time in the development of this project and in-depth research into the use of the different ones sustainable materials with the aim of creating a product technically innovative and eco-sustainable.‎ Giant bamboo is a valuable natural resource: a hectare of this plant offsets the annual CO2 emissions of approximately 40 people, removing from the atmosphere 36 times more carbon dioxide than a mixed conifer and broadleaf wood.‎ When we started to create the new Taipei bed, we were inspired by two concepts: the Orient and nature.‎ Bamboo, from the outset, represented a creative fusion of these.‎ We chose not to actually use it as a material but to use its shapes as a starting point to enhance the design with intriguing evocations.‎ Evocations that led us to the capital of Taiwan and its most famous skyscraper.‎ The development of this project involved long, indepth research into the use of various sustainable materials with the aim of creating a technically innovative and environmentally sustainable product.‎ Further info from manufacturer on TAIPEI Felis
