GEOSEC® SEISMIC DEFENDER®

The seismic motion on the ground is influenced by the geological and topographic characteristics of the site, it follows that heterogeneous and deformable soils with different stiffnesses can amplify the seismic motion.‎ Today the most frequent solutions are those that only consider direct interventions on the structures, while still little used are those that contribute to the project of seismic improvement of the building starting from the consolidation of the land for the benefit of subsequent structural works.‎ SEISMIC DEFENDER® is the process of consolidating foundation soils, through injections of expanding resins, which allows the seismic improvement of the soil.‎ The intervention improves the mechanical performance of the soil, so as to attenuate the effects of the earthquake on the built structures.‎ The method involves the execution of injections of expanding resins under 3D geophysical instrumental control for the control of the resin injection and the final verification of the result.‎
