Giacomini SPIDER SLIM

The radiant floor system is increasingly in demand, even by those who want to renovate their property.‎ In line with this trend, Giacomini proposes SPIDER SLIM: the radiant floor with very low thickness that enhances its peculiarities in renovations and provides excellent performance also in new constructions.‎ Starting from a height of only 2 centimetres, Spider Slim allows air-conditioning different types of structures, new or existing.‎ Houses, flats, offices, shops or companies of various sizes: Giacomini's technological quality ensures environments where well-being is experienced and energy is saved.‎ Minimal footprint, quick installation and reduced heating times: Spider Slim satisfies the installer, the designer and the end user.‎ Invisible, and therefore functional, this solution prevents the formation of damp areas and mould on the walls adjacent to the floor, guaranteeing high levels of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the room.‎ The system consists of a moulded panel with a three-dimensional mesh shape in plastic material with limited thickness, where the pipe can be housed and embedded in the screed.‎ Giacomini's SPIDER SLIM panel is available in two versions: R979SY005 adhesive and R979SY025 with high-density insulation.‎ The dedicated 12 mm x 1.‎1 Pex-b Giacotherm pipe completes the system.‎ Reliable and high-performance, the R979S series SPIDER SLIM panel consists of a three-dimensional moulded mesh made of high-strength polypropylene.‎ The geometry of the three-dimensional mesh allows the pipe to be securely housed during installation and completely embedded in the screed, ensuring uniform heat distribution and limited thermal inertia.‎ Self-levelling, anhydrite and classic sand-cement screeds can be used for both versions.‎ Considering the ease of propagation of the cement mixture within the three-dimensional mesh, it is possible to calculate the thickness of the screed from the base of the panel.‎ Giacomini gives indications of the minimum geometric constraints to be respected, but invites you to scrupulously follow the thicknesses and laying methods prescribed in the specific technical sheets of the screed manufacturers.‎
