KME Architectural Solutions

TECU® Façades are wall cladding elements, in different finishes, made of TECU® copper and copper alloys, one of the most popular materials in architecture, offering numerous alternatives for laying and finishing solutions.‎ The advantages of these systems, such as long life and ease of installation, are ideally combined here with the creative potential they offer the designer.‎ TECU® copper and copper alloy sheets and strips are produced in compliance with the strictest relevant standards (DIN EN 1172).‎ In order to keep pace with architectural requirements, TECU® has developed solutions to meet the most innovative architectural demands and forms.‎ TECU® solutions can be used to create both insulated and ventilated façades.‎ For any further information on products and installation systems, the KME Architectural Solutions team is available to offer technical support to designers.‎ TECU® Aggraffatura angolare One of the most common laying techniques is seaming, a 19th century craft technique suitable for both roofs and façades.‎ Through the use of sheets crimped together, it is possible to obtain surfaces characterised by a strong visual impact, defined by horizontal, vertical or oblique bands.‎ The elements are obtained from sheets and strips.‎ Adequate cutting, trimming, stretching, tapering and bending of the sheet metal allows cladding to be produced in almost all the geometric shapes available in the building trade, without technical or formal problems, and without the use of adhesives, nor of welding and/or brazing.‎ TECU® Shingles If you want to achieve special aesthetic effects, such as a shingle effect, the shingle solution can be used.‎ These are small, medium or large copper elements that can be rectangular or square in shape.‎ They are laid by simply attaching one element to another.‎ Each shingle has 180° folds on all four sides.‎ On the upper and left edge, the fold is made forwards, while on the lower and right edges the fold is made backwards.‎ This folding system allows the shingles to engage with each other.‎ They are fastened by means of flat clips.‎ Thanks to mechanised manufacturing systems, the shingles have particularly precise dimensions.‎ The usual processing techniques, such as bending and crimping, can be applied in the jointing areas.‎ In this way, perfect sealing of building edges and connections to other building elements such as windows and doors can be achieved.‎ TECU®corrugated sheets and TECU® corrugated sheets These systems provide the possibility of defining profiled panels, which, thanks to their uniform and continuous shaping, are particularly suitable for the seamless construction of large-area façades.‎ They can basically be of three types: - corrugated profiles with a sinusoidal shape; - trapezoidal profiles with different geometric cross-sections; - special profiles with customised geometry.‎ TECU® Planks Planks are façade elements that can be produced in lengths up to 4000 mm and widths up to approx.‎ 500 mm, with or without end bends.‎ The elements are installed by means of a tongue-and-groove joint or by simple overlapping.‎ The staves can be laid in different orientations - vertical, horizontal or diagonal - with installation types suited to the purpose: 1.‎ Facade cladding with vertical staves with concealed, self-ventilating fixing 2.‎ Facade cladding with horizontal slats with concealed fastening, self-ventilating in the substructure 3.‎ Facade cladding with visible or concealed fixings obtained by simply overlapping the staves, diagonal orientation.‎ The staves are usually fixed directly to the substructure by means of screws or rivets placed on the female edges on the side of the groove so as to achieve perfect disappearance of any fixings.‎ TECU® Cassettes Cassettes are box-type elements, with folds on all 4 sides, with proportions from 1:1 up to 1:4.‎ They are manufactured exclusively with specific pre-profiling and/or according to project specifications.‎ This type of solution offers great flexibility in relation to format, jointing and fixing.‎ The folds provided on all sides allow the creation of a uniform, flat façade surface with flush elements, even in the case of large-format sheets.‎ TECU® Bond TECU® Bond is a copper composite panel consisting of two 0.‎3 mm thick TECU® copper sheets pre-coupled with a polyethylene core.‎ The result is a composite material of exceptional strength, extremely rigid, perfectly flat and resistant to deformation.‎ It has an optimal weight, a low coefficient of thermal expansion and high mechanical resistance to wind loads, shocks and stresses.‎ It is particularly suitable for cladding large facades and interior areas quickly and economically with the quality of TECU® copper, without compromising on aesthetics.‎ TECU® Brise soleilSystem TECU®Brise soleil, is a prefabricated system that makes it possible to obtain a product that is easily manageable on the building site.‎ Thanks to the use of TECU® Bond panel (panel stiffened by the interposition of polyethylene between the two copper sheets) or sheets of suitable thickness, it is possible to obtain, by means of appropriate cutting and bending, horizontal slats.‎ These components, together with a specially designed structure, constitute a finished element for the façade cladding.‎ This system allows a remarkable speed of installation in the execution of an external copper skin, which acts as a diaphragm to sunlight.‎ FINISHINGSTECU® The different technical solutions described above are matched by numerous finishing possibilities, depending on the architectural effect to be achieved.‎ TECU® offers a wide range of finishes obtained by treating copper or copper alloys: - TECU® Classic - TECU® Oxid - TECU® Patina - TECU® Zinn - TECU® Gold - TECU® Bronze - TECU® Brass
