La Gala Home ARBOR Low free form glass coffee table

Arbor is a set of coffee tables that look like trees and their shadows.‎ They combine nature and design in a smart and beautiful way.‎ The first coffee table, the most important piece of furniture in the set, is made of glass that has been shaped using moulds, and has a sophisticated green marble effect.‎ The curvy and uneven veins look like the texture of a tree canopy seen from above, as if it were a stylised leaf.‎ The second coffee table is made entirely of bronzed glass.‎ It looks like the shadow of a tree.‎ The warm, deep colours range from dark copper to amber, depending on the light that passes through it.‎ The second one is lower and slightly offset from the first, and seems to extend naturally like a reflection.‎ This highlights the interaction between light and matter, and between the real and the abstract.‎ Together, the two coffee tables create a space that is both poetic and contemporary: a play between presence and absence, between matter and light.‎ In the Kimeya Nature collection, the four elements – air, water, earth and fire – are represented through a balanced combination of shapes, textures and reflections.‎ The medium of glass is rendered fluid, reminiscent of water; light is depicted in a dancing motion, akin to air; pigments are utilised to evoke the potency of the earth; and the warmth of the veins alludes to the energy of fire.‎ The creations are functional works of art, in which the immaterial connection between external beauty and the inner depth of the designer is perceived, and the sacredness of nature is celebrated, with the magic of transparency being played with.‎ The products are unified by a shared characteristic of vibrant contemporaneity, emphasising a journey characterised by moments of inspiration and creative gestures.‎ This journey is akin to a flow that is impossible to escape, engaging and captivating the observer between dynamism and stillness, matter and emotion.‎ Further info from manufacturer on ARBOR La Gala Home
