Marini Marmi CEPPO DI GRÉ Indoor/outdoor natural stone wall/floor tiles

Ceppo di Gré is an exclusive natural stone extracted in the Gré area, within the municipalities of Castro and Solto Collina, in the province of Bergamo, Italy.‎ The material features a distinctive brecciated structure composed of irregularly sized fragments of carbonate rock naturally bonded by calcareous cement.‎ Its colour is predominantly grey, with varying shades and grey-blue tones.‎ The irregular distribution of the stone fragments makes every slab different and gives the material a distinctive visual identity.‎ Ceppo di Gré is suitable for both indoor and outdoor applications.‎ The range of available surface finishes allows it to be used for flooring, cladding, façades, staircases, furniture elements, worktops, public-space applications and landscape architecture.‎ The material is extracted and processed directly by Marini Marmi, which manages the different stages of production internally, from block selection to the manufacture of slabs and custom-made elements.‎ Technical characteristics: Petrographic classification Dolomitic monogenic breccia – litho-arenite.‎ Geological age  Quaternary, Middle to Lower Pleistocene, approximately 1,800,000 to 125,000 years ago.‎ Quarrying site Gré, Castro and Solto Collina, Bergamo, Italy.‎ Composition and structure Sedimentary carbonate lithotype with a brecciated texture, composed of irregularly sized fragments of carbonate rock naturally bonded by calcareous cement.‎ The material may contain holes and cavities.‎ Colour Predominantly grey, with different shades and grey-blue tones.‎ Use Indoor and outdoor.‎ Main applications Flooring, cladding, façades, staircases, furniture elements, worktops, urban furniture and landscape applications.‎ Available finishes: Big holes filled and honed A traditional finish suitable for indoor and outdoor flooring and cladding.‎ The slabs are cleared of inclusions, the larger cavities are filled and the surfaces are subsequently honed.‎ The finish is certified as slip-resistant and is also suitable for wet surfaces.‎ Minimum thickness: 2 cm  Application: face and edges  Surfaces: flat or shaped Filled and honed A finish suitable for indoor flooring and cladding, obtained by completely filling and honing the slabs.‎ It is certified as slip-resistant and ensures safe performance even on wet surfaces.‎ Minimum thickness: 2 cm  Application: face and edges  Surfaces: flat or shaped Bush hammered A finish suitable for outdoor flooring and cladding.‎ The slabs are processed using rotary bush-hammering machines to obtain a rough and resistant texture.‎ Minimum thickness: 3 cm  Application: face and edges  Surfaces: flat or shaped Sandblasted A finish recommended for outdoor flooring and cladding, obtained through manual compressed-air sandblasting.‎ The use of sand or quartz prevents the formation of rust stains.‎ Minimum thickness: 2 cm  Application: face and edges  Surfaces: flat or shaped Sawn-milled and chiseled A finish suitable for indoor and outdoor cladding, combining disc milling and manual chiselling.‎ Minimum thickness: 2 cm  Available formats: widths from 15 to 25 cm, in random lengths  Application: face only  Surfaces: flat surfaces only Big holes filled and brushed A finish suitable for indoor and outdoor flooring and cladding, combining cement filling, pre-honing and brushing.‎ Minimum thickness: 2 cm  Application: face and edges  Surfaces: flat or shaped Extreme water jet A finish recommended for indoor and outdoor cladding, created using a high-pressure water jet to produce a deep and irregular texture.‎ Minimum thickness: 3 cm  Application: face only, not suitable for edges  Surfaces: flat surfaces only Line waterjet A finish suitable for indoor and outdoor cladding, characterised by a linear texture created using a numerically controlled water jet.‎ Minimum thickness: 3 cm  Application: face only, not suitable for edges  Surfaces: flat surfaces only Cross waterjet A finish suitable for indoor and outdoor cladding, characterised by a cross-pattern texture created using a water jet.‎ Minimum thickness: 3 cm  Application: face only, not suitable for edges  Surfaces: flat surfaces only Further info from manufacturer on CEPPO DI GRÉ Marini Marmi
