Neopor® от BASF - EPS теплоизоляционная панель
Styropor® BMBcert™ from BASF is the Biomass Balance version of the expandable polystyrene (EPS) Styropor®.
With the Biomass Balance method, certified according to the REDcert2 scheme, up to 100 % of primary fossil sources are replaced by renewable, sustainable and certified sources, i.e. biomass, such as production waste or organic waste.
The application of the BMB method contributes to the saving of primary fossil sources and further improves the environmental profile of insulation products through a lower carbon footprint.
STYROPOR® BMBcert™ FOR CERTIFIABLE INSULATING PRODUCTS ACCORDING TO THE REMADE IN ITALY® SCHEME AS 100% RECYCLED
With the Styropor® BMBcert™ raw material, insulating panels can be produced that meet the requirements of the Minimum Environmental Criteria (CAM) for Buildings, referred to in the Relaunch Decree, containing the guidelines for thermal insulation work on the building envelope, in order to benefit from the 110% Superbonus.
The Building CAMs require the presence of recycled material in an expanded polystyrene (EPS) insulation panel to be verified "from 10% to 60% depending on the type of product and the technology adopted for its production". This percentage can be certified through an accredited certification scheme, such as Remade in Italy®.
Manufacturers of insulating products and sheets using BASF's Styropor® BMBcert™, through the ReMade in Italy certification scheme, verified by an accredited Certification Body (ISO/IEC 17065), can produce insulating products certified as 100% recycled.
Insulation slabs made with BASF's Styropor® BMBcert™ can be qualified according to ReMade in Italy® as 100% recycled insulation and obtain the A+ class, largely guaranteeing the fulfilment of the minimum values required by the Building CAM.
THE ADVANTAGES OF INSULATING PANELS MADE WITH STYROPOR BMBcert™ RAW MATERIAL:
Insulating panels made of Styropor® BMBcert™ offer multiple advantages
they are certifiable according to ReMade in Italy® as 100% recycled, class A+ (certification issued by an accredited Certification Body to the final producer)
they guarantee the saving of non-renewable primary fossil resources
have a lower carbon footprint thanks to the use of certified sustainable biomass
have the same quality and properties as insulation panels made with traditional Styropor
are 100% recyclable insulation panels
BASF'S BIOMASS BALANCE APPROACH
The advantages of the Biomass Balance approach:
With BASF's Biomass Balance (BMB) method, the primary fossil sources required for the production of Styropor are entirely replaced with renewable, certified and sustainable sources, i.e. from biomass (such as organic waste and production waste) and attributed to the respective end products using an internationally recognised certification scheme such as REDCert2.
The Styropor® BMBcert™ raw material is certified by the TÜV Nord Certification Body that specifies the saving of primary fossil sources and the use of renewable sources.
The BioMass Balance method is therefore a process certified by an accredited Certification Body that fully reflects the considerations of the published White Paper of the Ellen Mac Arthur Foundation's Circular Economy 100 Network.
Greater sustainability with unchanged quality and properties
Styropor Biomass Balance, i.e. Styropor® BMBcert™, contributes to environmental protection and combats climate change as it allows the production of high quality insulation with a lower carbon footprint.
The properties of the finished products are in fact equal to the already excellent properties of products made with standard Styropor, derived from primary fossil sources, namely:
Excellent thermal conductivity
Water repellency
Resistance to ageing
Ease of installation and processing
Versatility
Excellent benefit/cost ratio
SUSTAINABLE BUILDING WITH STYROPOR® BMBcert™ FOR THE ENTIRE LIFE CYCLE OF BUILDINGS
Sustainable building with Styropor® BMBcert™.
Insulation panels made of Styropor® BMBcert™ are fully recyclable as is, in general, all post-consumer polystyrene waste: 100% recoverable and 100% recyclable.
