PH Pianos & PH Furniture PH DRESSING TABLE STEEL Steel dressing table

The PH Dressing Table Steel with the PH Mirror reinterprets Poul Henningsen’s 1919 dressing table for a contemporary, steel framed expression.‎ Light in presence yet strong in construction, the piece preserves PH’s original idea of clarity between what carries and what is carried.‎ The PH Mirror brings the collection’s signature, softly backlit illumination to the ritual of getting ready, delivering an even reflection free from harsh shadows.‎ Finishes: frame in Chrome or Dark Copper (gloss); separate mirror in aluminium, copper, brass or in painted black, white, red, yellow or green In 1932, Poul Henningsen presented eight tubular steel furniture designs at the Danish Fair for Industrial Design and Products.‎ Bold, elegant and radically modern, the pieces stood apart from the wood furniture that defined the time.‎ Although they drew attention in the Danish press, the collection never entered serial production.‎ The market was not yet ready for such avant-garde designs, and the technology of the 1930s could not fully realize their complexity.‎ Their curved forms and innovative construction were simply too advanced for the period.‎ Only today has it become possible to reproduce them with the precision they require.‎ After years of research, development and the search for the right craftsmanship, the collection has finally been brought to life.‎ Each piece is produced in full respect of PH’s original vision and proportions.‎ The result is a collection that still feels strikingly contemporary almost a century later.‎ Functional yet sculptural, these works stand as timeless design pieces made for daily use and lasting value.‎  Further info from manufacturer on PH DRESSING TABLE STEEL PH Pianos & PH Furniture
