Phantom Hands X+L 03 Teak table lamp

The X+L 03 table lamp, is part of a collection of objects designed by Amsterdam based design duo Xander Vervoort and Leon van Boxtel to re-cycle small blocks of wood that are produced as residual waste in the furniture production process.‎ The wooden base of the lamp is made with these up-cycled teak blocks.‎ Each block is shaped, curved and polished by hand prior to assembly, making it a labour and skill intensive process.‎ The lampshade is made with an outer lining of hand-spun raw silk fabric and an inner lining of thin cotton fabric.‎ Wood finish: Natural Teak / Dark Stain / Black Finish Fabric: Haveli Ivory / Haveli Natural / Tanga Natural The X+L collection consists of objects designed by Dutch design duo Xander Vervoort and Leon van Boxtel.‎ The objects in this collection are inspired by X+L's interest in art and architecture, as well as their deep appreciation of simple, honest materials and structures.‎ X+L’s distinctive aesthetic, recycling and zero waste are important themes in the creation of some of the objects in this collection.‎ Further info from manufacturer on X+L 03 Phantom Hands
