In the strategic elements of industrial prefabrication, the solution of floors made with the PIGRECO type prestressed reinforced concrete tile plays an important role.‎ Its constant section consists of a horizontal slab stiffened inferiorly by two vertical ribs containing the main reinforcement.‎ Downspouts, of varying sizes, incorporated within the columns during production, provide easy and safe conveyance of rainwater to the ground.‎ The PIGRECO tile has a standard width of cm 250 with the possibility of reduction to a minimum of cm 155.‎ The height, depending on spans and overloads, varies from cm 40 to cm 85.‎ There is also ample opportunity to create compartments for housing skylights and for passage of equipment from one floor to another.‎ The excellent fire resistance characteristic (up to R 120') and its great structural performance, nor allow its use for the construction of flat roofs and intermediate decks of considerable light with high overloads.‎ Its main intended use is therefore for multi-story buildings such as office buildings, shopping malls, cinemas and parking lots, with the opportunity to use the space at the soffit between the ribs for the passage of plant lines, without these going to interfere with the useful height of the inter-floors.‎
