PRIMATE PHONOMAX PR XL
PRIMATE PHONOMAX PR XL is a high-performance mattress for footfall acoustic insulation made of chemically cross-linked closed-cell polyethylene foam, version 2.0, coupled with PHONOTEK R-PET PLUS high-density thermally bonded recycled polyester fibre. Product battentato on long sides. Protected version for increased surface resistance. Certified according to CAM criteria.
Laminated on the upper face with embossed anti-sag film and on the lower face with PHONOTEK R-PET PLUS thermobonded recycled polyester fibre with high grammage (200 g/sqm) and high compressive strength. Thanks to the combined characteristics of the products, PRIMATE PHONOMAX PR XL guarantees excellent insulation against impact noise and high resistance to surface tearing. The mat has rebates on the long sides.
PRIMATE PHONOMAX PR XL is suitable for creating single-layer screeds, prior to the installation of systems, in any type of floor. A finishing screed at least 6 cm thick is recommended. The sheets must be laid with the fibre facing downwards, carefully matched using the battentatura and joined with suitable Primate PHONOJOIN tape. To desolidarise the floating screed from the perimeter walls, use the Primate PHONOPER DS perimeter strip, absolutely avoiding turning up the mat. To complete the acoustic system, we recommend the use of the PRIMATE PHONOCUT wall-cutting strip to be laid at the foot of all internal walls.

Primate presents PHONO, a range of easy products, suitable for most construction solutions, with high performance: a complete system with all the accessories and components needed to create the 'acoustic system'. The materials in the range are specifically designed for acoustic insulation in construction, and for the healthiness of the environments in which they are used: they are functional materials that maintain performance over time, are non-toxic and non-allergenic, durable, rot-proof, water-resistant, impervious to external agents, and do not contain volatile agents (VOC). Simplicity in the choice and consistency in the product range are the guidelines for Primate PHONO: the product range is designed according to the applications, identifying a single primary material specific to the application, which is then declined in the different versions adaptable to the different real cases. The aim of the Primate PHONO range is to provide a simple system, consisting of a versatile and universal product with different declinations according to the specific needs that may arise on site, as well as a range of indispensable and essential accessories. In particular, a polymeric blend based on chemically cross-linked, closed-cell polyethylene foam has been developed for the horizontal, capable of providing excellent elastic and compressive strength properties, as well as excellent acoustic properties when coupled with a high grammage polyester fibre.
The range is therefore completed with soundproofing materials for applications where a mass contribution is required, and resilient materials for floor renovation. All materials in the Primate PHONO range contribute to achieving credits for the environmental certification of a building according to LEED or ITACA protocols.
