Sapiens ARDES FLAME TRADITIONAL Larch wall tiles / decking

ARDES FLAME TRADITIONAL, belonging to the ARDES WOOD family, is the perfect product for CLADDING and DECKING claddings where the wood fibre is to be read and at the same time have the benefits of the burn treatment.‎ Planks treated with FIRESKIN 160 provide increased surface protection while aesthetically maintaining the visibility of the wood grain, which is emphasised by the treatment itself.‎ In addition to burning, a deep brushing is carried out, almost completely removing the carbonisation residues and thus uncovering the wood grain made even more evident and sinuous.‎ The increased durability performance, given by the carbonisation, remains unaltered and the final pigmented oiling offers a wide choice of colour varieties.‎ ARDES FLAME TRADITIONAL is the collection developed as standard with LARCH wood, which guarantees an aesthetically pleasing and elegant plank due to the reduced presence of knots, quite different from cheaper species such as fir or pine where the knot is, in our opinion, far too present and creates an overly rustic and mountainous effect.‎ TREATMENTS FIRESKIN.‎160 consists of a thorough burning and subsequent brushing of the boards.‎ OILING multi-coat treatment of a natural pigmented oiled finish.‎ THE PHILOSOPHY OF THE ARDES FAMILY is a product range created through the use of a primordial natural element such as fire.‎ It takes as its model of inspiration an ancient, centuries-old Japanese technique that consisted in burning the surface layer of cedar wood planks, making the wooden raw material even more durable.‎  According to our philosophy of evolution and revolution of each material, we have been able to create new chromatic representations by combining metals, colour and depth of decoration with the nicks and marks created by the living flames.‎ Today, SAPIENS has selected this technique as an alternative to common synthetic or chemical processes, as it is completely handcrafted and sustainable.‎ Fire, a natural element, plays a crucial role in imparting longevity characteristics to wood and, through the high temperature, the moisture present in the boards is eliminated by evaporating; therefore, the wood thus “dried” is transformed and stabilised.‎ CLADDING ARDES FLAME TRADITIONAL PROFILATURE R3Q/PRO/MUST/SCANDOLA COLOURS Black Carbon/ Brown Coffee/Winter Graden/Nordik Walk/Polar Ice/Summer Garden/Autumn Forest/ Deep Red/English Red DECKING ARDES FLAME TRADITIONAL PROFILATURE R3Q COLOURS Black Carbon / Brown Coffee/Winter Graden/Nordik Walk/ Summer Garden/Autumn Forest Further info from manufacturer on ARDES FLAME TRADITIONAL Sapiens
