In existing structures, the construction of a mixed slab with connectors may require the connection between the slab and the masonry to ensure structural continuity between the elements.‎ It is important that this intervention is not invasive and, for this reason, a point-type connection using improved adhesion bars is often chosen.‎ RTEC400 resin is a two-component epoxy formulation with a high adhesion value for heavy fixings on concrete, masonry and wood.‎ Supplied in 400 ml cartridges, it is the ideal product for structural reinforcement with post-installed reinforcing bars.‎ To obtain an effective punctual connection, a downward sloping hole can be drilled in the perimeter masonry at slab level, inject TECNARIA RTEC400 two-component epoxy resin into it, insert the improved adhesion steel bar, and finally bend the bar horizontally into the slab.‎ The connection must be made perimeterally within the load-bearing masonry.‎ RTEC400 resin is ETA certified for improved adhesion bars and threaded bars.‎
