TECTA K1 Low steel and wood central coffee table

K1 is a low coffee table with a chrome-plated tubular steel frame and a painted wooden top (white, black or red).‎ Available in sizes: K1A and K1B.‎ As a constructive further development of the tube deformation, similar to the "tube aplati" principle according to the patents of 1987 and 1990, Tecta developed the "tube oblique" in 2005.‎ This is a "three-dimensional tube deformation", which the Düsseldorf Regional Court attests a "peculiar aesthetic" due to the "three-dimensionally shaped flat steel tube" and an "interplay between the lines of the steel tube edge pointing towards the outside and the obliquely inwardly directed side surfaces".‎ The result was Oblique, an extensive series of endlessly curved tubular steel tables whose striking, defining aesthetic is the product of constructive imagination.‎ Even Jean Prouvé recognised that the bent round steel tubes in furniture were done without thought and told Axel Bruchhäuser: "You have to feel how the material thinks.‎"
