101626 / 101629 - Our in-house door handles essentially consist of two parts: a solid steel core with a nickel-plated brass cranked section and an interchangeable grip sleeve, which is secured to the core using a stainless steel flat-head sleeve nut (M8 15/20).‎ Only a 5 mm hex key is needed for mounting and removing the grip sleeve.‎ In this case the grip sleeve is made of Bakelite.‎ It was therefore made from that ‘stubborn’ plastic of the early 20th century, which after moulding cannot be changed, but only destroyed, and – contrary to common usage – is not a type of plastic, but a brand of Bakelite GmbH in Iserlohn.‎ It is therefore a genuine piece of industrial history that you hold in your hands every time you use the door handle.‎ The door handles are compatible with most rosettes and protective plates from our Swedish partner Kulturbeslag.‎ A selection of which you can find here on our website.‎ Grip length: 81 mm Grip diameter: 20 mm Weight: 322 g Base structure material: Steel with nickel-plated brass bend Grip sleeve material: Bakelite Scope of delivery: Two-piece base structure 2 x sleeve nuts 2 x washers 1 x compensation sleeve 1 x connecting pin Further info from manufacturer on 179969 THPG
