Visionnaire CATSKILL Dining table in metal and marble

Catskill is a dining table in metal and marble, defined by a thick calendered sheet metal frame with a tapered profile, welded into an asymmetric central shape.‎ Slim slits reveal marble inserts beneath the top, adding depth and contrast.‎ The polished marble top is partially recessed, while the semi-matte multilayer finish enhances a soft, clouded material effect.‎ Catskill makes an immediate impact with its declared strength — a primordial energy that recalls the mountain region west of the Hudson Valley from which it takes its name.‎ Like that landscape, cherished by New Yorkers for its intense and untamed nature, the table asserts its identity through material, weight, and gesture.‎ The design is resolute.‎ Archaic accents run through the structure, evoking the memory of forged metal, the rhythm of the farrier, the heat and pressure that transform raw matter into a finished form.‎ The surface does not conceal the process; it reveals it, achieving a refined balance between rigor and sophistication.‎ The legs express an almost primitive solidity, while the hull beneath the top, crafted from thick slabs, features irregular, textured surfaces that capture light dynamically.‎ Each element is treated as living material, worked to achieve a unique, unrepeatable result.‎ The marble top completes the composition with a gesture of ancestral elegance.‎ Its compact, sculptural presence introduces a dimension of balance, where material power is translated into controlled proportion.‎ The polished yet intense marble surface engages in dialogue with the underlying structure, creating a calibrated contrast between tension and purity.‎ Catskill is not merely a functional element; it is a gravitational center — a presence that organizes space through mass, proportion, and formal integrity.‎ Further info from manufacturer on CATSKILL Visionnaire
