VITRIK VK DESIGN - WINDOWS / GLASS WALLS Glass facade, window and solar shading with privacy control

When installed in the envelope of buildings, glass plays a key role in thermal insulation and energy saving.‎ A VK Design glass for wall or window does much more than ordinary double glazing, because it can block out UV rays when switched to opaque.‎ By eliminating curtains and blinds, rooms are made brighter, and cleaning becomes a whole lot easier.‎ VK Design solves the sun screening problem of new architecture, which tends to favour large external glass surfaces.‎ VK Design is a glass system for both indoor and outdoor installation, and thanks to PDLC technology it can switch rapidly from ON (transparent) to OFF (opaque), for dynamic control over privacy.‎ When switched OFF the liquid crystals are arranged in a random, unordered fashion: the glass is opaque, screening what lies behind it from view.‎ When switched ON, the electrical current makes the molecules align neatly, and the glass becomes transparent.‎ From the absolute privacy of opaque glass to complete transparency at the touch of a button: a VK Design glass wall allows you to control light exposure and privacy without the need for curtains, blinds, or any other solutions that require frequent maintenance.‎ This glass is also commonly called LCD glass.‎ VK Design revolutionises the glass world, adding an endless range of new functional and aesthetic solutions.‎ VK Design fits beautifully into contemporary and designer spaces, where it becomes a distinctive architectural feature.‎ TECHNICAL PROPERTIES  Standards: CE UNI EN 14449:2005 - UL962  - IPX7 Standards note: pendulm Impact, sound insulation, heat and humidity, protection rating for IPX7, UL962 for America.‎  Thicknesses: From 7,5 mm to.‎.‎ Glas Color: Low Iron, Clear, Gray, Bronze, etc.‎.‎ Type: Curved, printed, textured, etc.‎.‎ Processing: Offset, tempering, holes, notches, painting, printing, engraving, double glazing, Laminated with other material.‎ Internal/external applications: partition walls, doors, sliding systems, folding systems, shower walls, doors and windows, objects, etc.‎ ELECTRICAL PARAMETERS: PDLC power supply voltage: 65 Vac ± 5 Vac.‎ 45 Vac for humid environments Frequency: 50-60Hz Power required: 1.‎2 W/ m2 Response times: < 0.‎1 sec SOLUTIONS/APPLICATIONS: hotels spas wellness centres healthcare facilities  yachts and ships  shower walls partition walls   movable walls hinged, sliding, folding doors coverings tops, furniture sliding systems coverings Further info from manufacturer on VK DESIGN - WINDOWS / GLASS WALLS VITRIK
