Perimeter expansion joint made of closed-cell polyethylene foam with a density of 23 kg/m3, provided with a 50 μm thick transparent PE-LD heat-sealed film, back side provided with a high-adhesion adhesive covered by a protective film.‎ The perimeter expansion joint is a low-density polyethylene foam mat that is laid along the perimeter of the structures in rooms where a Radiant floor panels system is installed, whether perimeter walls or columns, in order to compensate for the linear thermal expansion of the screed and thus prevent cracking of the surface covering layer.‎ It comes in three different heights, depending on the type of system in which it is to be used: low-inertia residential, standard residential, industrial.‎ The back side is equipped with a particularly tough adhesive layer, so that it can be attached even to rough and dusty walls, and with a film to protect the adhesive, which is removed at the time of installation.‎ The front side is equipped with a PE film that must cover the perimeter of the insulation laid on the ground, to prevent the screed from creeping under the insulation.‎ The PE film is not only present on the lower COUPLER, designed for the low inertia RENOVA (the PE film must not cover the hollow knuckles of the panel) and DRY ULTRA (dry system without screed).‎
