WAVIN ITALIA TIGRIS MX

TIGRIS MX is a series of axially pressed fittings for domestic water and heating installations.‎ Optimised flow rate due to 30% larger cross-sectional area, high resistance to breakage and full compatibility with the Wavin Tigris MP multilayer pipe system, which can be used for all Tigris family sanitary water systems.‎ All elements that make up the Wavin Tigris MX system, i.‎e.‎ pipes, fittings and sleeves, create a reliable connection without the use of O-rings.‎ The 'lead free' brass, with which the MX fittings are made, is a corrosion-resistant material with antibacterial properties, ensuring maximum hygiene in applications where drinking water is required.‎ The thermoplastic polymer PVDF of the self-locking couplings is characterised by a high resistance to impact and the action of chemicals, as well as a wide range of operating temperatures.‎ The excellent mechanical resistance (under long-lasting and cyclic loads) ensures the high reliability of the system, which was also confirmed by simulation testing over a period of use of 50 years.‎ The main advantage of the new Wavin Tigris MX system, which is available in the diameter range from 16 to 32 mm, comes from the fitting's cross-section, which has increased by 30% compared to the previous product release.‎ The result is a marked improvement in flow parameters and a significant reduction in pressure loss within the entire system.‎ The improved flow parameters can also result in a more efficient utilisation of the system's circulation pumps, contributing to lower energy consumption.‎ As a result, the energy efficiency of the entire building benefits, and in the context of the size of the investment, this means that the larger the facility, the greater the benefits of using the Wavin Tigris MX system.‎ Wavin Tigris MX: easy installation The Wavin Tigris MX system is based on the axial pressing technique, well known to installers.‎ The process of connecting the elements of the Tigris MX system consists of inserting the self-locking sleeve onto the pipe and enlarging the end of the same pipe with the special expansion head, inserting the fitting into the pipe and the final pressing of the self-locking sleeve (to the end of the fitting).‎ The uniqueness of the Wavin Tigris MX series lies above all in the strength and reliability of each of its individual components and the excellent utilisation parameters of the entire system.‎ A further advantage of the Tigris MX comes from the fact that the installer can use a single tool, specially created by Wavin to speed up the expansion, joining and pressing processes for the entire system.‎ The tool has a 360° rotating head, a torch and a press counter.‎ In addition, the sleeve heads and expanders can be easily disassembled (using the Plug&Play method) and used in separate expansion and pressing equipment.‎ This makes the Tigris MX series easy and effective to use.‎
