The revolutionary AEROFIX fixing system, currently patent pending, offers an advanced solution for securely and permanently fixing our AEROPAN® VP panels to any type of substrate.‎ The impossibility of using traditional fixing systems, in order to avoid dangerous punctures in vacuum formed panels and thus guarantee the exceptional certified performance, led the AMA ADVANCED MATERIALS division to devise a plastic fixing system.‎ This system, easy to install and extremely versatile, ensures an excellent mechanical seal to preserve adhesion to the substrate over the long term.‎ The system consists of a double nylon disc with pass-through sealing bands.‎ The first disc is fixed to the existing substrate by means of a suitable dowel, with 5 radially arranged holes.‎ The second disc performs the tear-off sealing function, anchoring itself firmly to the through-bands inserted in the support disc.‎ The ties, with a reduced thickness of 1 mm, minimise the gaps between the panels, ensuring an excellent mechanical tear-off seal in combination with the outer sealing disc.‎ After positioning the sealing disc, the excess part of the cable tie can be cut "flush" with the disc With the possibility of installing 4 cable ties individually, the AEROFIX System offers maximum flexibility in terms of use, adapting perfectly to the specific requirements of the installation area.‎ An innovative solution to ensure safe and reliable installation of AEROPAN® VP panels.‎ APPLICATION METHODS AEROFIX Preparation of the Surface Before installation, the wall surface must be treated with a suitable primer to ensure good adhesion; in any case, the surface must be undamaged and free from loose or sharp elements.‎ In the case of irregular surfaces, provide a suitable surface smoothing to ensure correct flatness.‎ Positioning the starting profile Fix the starting profile firmly to the wall using dowels.‎ Application of the AEROPAN VP-R Panel Spread a layer of adhesive on the panel with a 10 mm notched trowel.‎ Apply the panel to the wall horizontally, starting from the starting profile.‎ Application of the AEROFIX fixings Proceed with the installation of the AEROFIX fixings starting from the vertical joint between the horizontally installed panels, inserting the correct number of clamps in the support disc and mechanically fixing the disc to the substrate using suitable fixing plugs.‎ Subsequently, it is essential to install an AEROFIX fixing on at least each T-joint between the courses of the panels.‎ Subsequent application of the panels Continue with the application of the AEROPAN VP-R panels, staggering the joints and using all available sizes.‎ Where necessary, close any small areas using AEROPAN Aerogel panels to avoid thermal bridges.‎ Levelling theSurface Using a straight edge, even out the coated surface to ensure correct installation of the system and facilitate subsequent levelling operations.‎ Closing the AEROFIX fasteners Proceed with the insertion of the AEROFIX fastening discs, taking care to adhere to the surface of the panels and cutting off the excess part of the sealing strips with a suitable tool (box cutter or flexible small disc).‎
