FDY-V/U U3
Centre-pivot wooden roof window
The FDY-V/U U3 model is characterised by an under-light sash and can reach a height of 206 cm. On a single frame, it has an upper casement with a pivoting opening and decentralised rotation axis, i.e. above the centre line of the frame, and a fixed lower part that cannot be opened and is fitted with an insulating glass unit with a laminated safety pane.
The FDY-V/U U3 frame structure allows the required brightness performance to be achieved, using a single window instead of two, thus saving both costs and installation time. What's more, the brightness that FDY-V/U U3 is able to guarantee in such cases is even higher than that offered by the solution with two overlapping windows because, being a single window, there is a central mullion with a lower thickness.
Made of carefully selected pine wood, vacuum-impregnated (a method that makes the wood resistant to even the most insidious moulds) and finished with three coats of white polyurethane varnish, FDY-V/U U3 is extremely secure thanks to the innovative TopSafe technology that reinforces the construction of the window frame, for greater resistance against burglary. This window is also equipped with the new V40 ventilation system, which allows for optimal air exchange even when the window is closed, making the room healthier both in bad weather and during the winter season.
