For screed coats, up to 5 cm thick, as an alternative to the traditional electro-welded grids it is possible to use dedicated fiber glass meshes, acting as reinforcement,  stabilization and anti-cracking elements.‎ Fiber glass meshes offer several advantages: they are light, easy to transport, cut, handle and install on site.‎ The mesh must be embedded with care, creating a "sandwich ‘in the screed.‎ On each side, the rolls should overlap at least l0 cm.‎ Available in different mesh sizes (up to 4 cm) they are provided either in traditional ‘E’ glass yarn or in special ‘AR’ (Alkali -Resistant) glass yarn, granting high performances in cementitious material environments.‎
