With EFG Fixtel, we move from the traditional expansion sealing system (characteristic of nylon anchors) to the innovative axial sealing system: the ability to mill the base material and the double threading allow for a perfect fit with the base material, without generating lateral forces that often lead to cracking or breaking
of the substrate walls. The concept of axial tightness applied to a self-tapping screw implies a very low presence of tension in the anchoring material and thus brings with it numerous fundamental advantages:
- Fastenings very close to the edges or corners of the substrate;
- Possibility of total removal of the fastener,
- Possibility of frame adjustment;
- Limited frame deformations.
The special hardening of the thread allows a 'soft' cut in the base material, ensuring a reduction in possible cracking and/or splitting during screwing, especially on soft or brittle materials such as hollow bricks or poroton.The milling transverse to the thread has a threefold function:
- considerably increases the cutting capacity;
- guarantees greater resistance to unscrewing than a normal 'smooth' thread;
- allows optimal discharge of dust and impurities created during the milling phase of the substrate.
